PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: September 11, 2026
PRIVATE. LOCAL. YOURS.
Your relationships are yours. NCOM is designed to collect as little information as possible and to keep the relationship information you add to the app stored locally on your device.
1. Information stored by the NCOM app
NCOM stores the information needed to provide its core features. Depending on how you use the app, this may include your name and settings, people you add to NCOM, relationship information you choose to provide, check-in preferences, dates associated with adding or talking with someone, confirmed interaction history, onboarding state, and reminder settings.
The current NCOM architecture stores this information locally on your device. NCOM does not currently use an NCOM account system, cloud relationship database, or cloud-sync service.
2. Contacts
NCOM does not import or copy your entire address book.
If you choose Choose from Contacts, NCOM requests Contacts access only after you take that action. For the contact you select, NCOM is designed to retain only the information needed for the app to work, such as the person’s editable display name, an optional system contact identifier, one selected phone number, and its existing device-provided label.
NCOM does not intentionally persist a selected contact’s complete phone-number list, email addresses, photos, postal addresses, birthdays, employer information, notes, groups, or a broad copy of your address book.
You may also add someone manually without using Contacts.
3. Texts, calls and video calls
NCOM helps you start a connection. It does not communicate on your behalf.
When you choose Text, Call, or a supported Video call, NCOM hands that action off to the communication tools provided by your device. NCOM does not write a text message for you.
NCOM does not read the contents of your text messages, your call logs, or the content of your communications.
Your relationship history is updated only when you confirm that you connected with someone or when you manually choose Mark as talked.
4. Notifications
If you enable notifications, NCOM may schedule local check-in and Take a Minute reminders on your device.
The current notification system uses the operating system’s local notification capabilities. NCOM does not currently maintain a remote notification inbox, badge ledger, or remote push-token backend.
You control notification permission through your device and can turn NCOM reminder features off within the app.
5. Advertising, analytics and tracking in the app
NCOM does not sell your relationship data.
The current NCOM app does not use advertising, analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs.
Your people aren’t our data. Your attention isn’t our product. Your relationships belong to you.
6. Deleting app information
You can remove an individual person from NCOM.
NCOM also provides a Clear all data control. Using it removes NCOM’s locally stored app data, cancels scheduled NCOM reminders, resets local settings and onboarding state, and returns the app to its first-run experience.
Because NCOM does not currently maintain an NCOM cloud relationship database, there is no separate NCOM cloud account containing your relationship list to delete.
7. Backup, caching and device-level services
NCOM does not currently provide its own backup, export, or cloud-sync feature.
Your device, operating system, framework, or platform may independently use backups, caches, or other system-level storage. Those behaviors are separate from NCOM’s own local relationship-data architecture.
NCOM will continue to verify final production-build behavior, including network traffic, SDK behavior, backup and restore behavior, and platform-level storage before public app-store release.
8. Website, cookies and contact messages
The NCOM website is hosted by Squarespace.
We use necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the website. Non-essential cookies are restricted unless a visitor chooses to allow them. Visitors may accept, decline, or manage their cookie preferences through the website’s cookie controls.
Squarespace Activity Log collection has been disabled for the NCOM website.
If you submit the NCOM contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, and any other information you voluntarily include so that we can review and respond to your inquiry.
Contact-form submissions are processed through Squarespace. A copy of each submission is sent to our business email address, and Squarespace also retains form-submitter information within its form/contact-management system.
The NCOM contact form is not connected to Google Drive, Mailchimp, Zapier, or other additional form-storage integrations.
Google reCAPTCHA is enabled on the contact form to help reduce spam and automated submissions. Google and Squarespace may process technical information as necessary to provide those services under their own applicable privacy terms.
We do not sell information submitted through the NCOM website and do not use contact-form information for advertising or profiling.
Please do not use the contact form to send sensitive personal information about yourself or other people.
9. Third-party and platform services
Some NCOM features depend on services supplied by your device or operating system, including Contacts selection, notifications, text messaging, calling, and supported video calling.
NCOM intentionally hands these actions off to the relevant device or platform experience rather than operating its own messaging or calling service.
Those platform services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
10. Data minimization
NCOM is designed around data minimization.
We aim to collect or retain only the information reasonably necessary for the product to work. The current product architecture intentionally avoids using your relationships as an advertising, analytics, or engagement asset.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as NCOM evolves.
If NCOM later adds accounts, cloud storage, analytics, artificial intelligence services, additional third-party services, new categories of information, or other meaningful changes to how information is handled, we will update this policy to reflect those changes.
The policy in effect at any given time will be posted on the NCOM website with its effective date.
